From May 2018 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) will replace the DPA (Data Protection Act, 1998) as the legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information of individuals within the European Union (EU). This privacy policy sets out how Neurodiversity Unravelled will comply with these laws.
There are a number of lawful reasons that Neurodiversity Unravelled can use (or 'process') your personal information. One of the lawful reasons is called 'legitimate interests'. This means that Neurodiversity Unravelled can process your personal information if:
When you provide your personal details we use your information for our legitimate business interests (i.e. to support in the treatment of you/your child). Before doing this, though, we will also carefully consider and balance any potential impact on you and your rights.

Neurodiversity Unravelled take your privacy very seriously. We have put in place a number of security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. Please do not hesitate to ask us more about these if you would like further information.
All personal information provided is stored in compliance with EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) rules.
We are required to keep records securely for a period of 7 years (or for 7 years after a child’s 18th birthday). Records will then be destroyed.
We hold information about each of our clients and the therapy they receive in confidence. We will not normally share your personal information with anyone else. However, there are exceptions to this when there may be need for liaison with other parties:
You have the right to request access to the data that we hold on you free of charge. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of information that you believe to be inaccurate in accordance with the guidelines and requirements for record keeping by The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC; 2017)[1].
You are able to exercise certain rights in relation to your personal data that we process:
