Louise Lawrence

Director and Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist

Louise is passionate about enabling individuals to help remove the stigma of having a cognitive difference by sharing the amazing strengths that neurominorities bring. As a co-director at Neurodiversity Unravelled Louise has strong communication skills, she is creative when it comes to problem solving and can think differently, all of which are unique assets to the wider team.

Louise herself is neurodivergent she was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child. She then went on to spend the next 20 years hiding her dyslexia at school, university, and work. Louise used her strongly developed masking techniques to avoid having to share her struggles, as she believed that being open would damage her chances of promotion and success.  

Louise is passionate about supporting neurodiversity in the schools and higher education sector and the workplace. She uses a strengths-based approach in all her coaching to help clients identify their and achieve their full potential. She recognises the barriers that people with disabilities face and has a working knowledge of how to support individuals, families and businesses to overcome them.

Louise is described by the team as positive, creative and caring. She is able to put people at ease and make an effort to understand their individual experiences. She is recognised by colleagues as having the skills to work with and engage with her clients by taking a strengths based approach.

Louise has a Postgraduate Diploma and a Masters of Science Degree in Speech and Language Therapy, from City University London. Since qualifying, she has worked as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist across London within the NHS. For the last 20 years Louise has specialised in working with autistic people and people with complex needs, including young people, families, and adults. Louise is a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council.

Dr Rebecca Varrall

Director and Senior Clinical Psychologist

As Co-Director and Clinical Psychologist, Rebecca supports individuals and families to understand and celebrate difference.

Using psychological approaches, Rebecca is keen to create systemic change and improve mental wellbeing. Rebecca has a wealth of experience working with patients with diverse presentations, including depression, and anxiety, and has helped them cope with issues around gender and sexuality. She takes a sensitive, collaborative approach to working with clients that is mutually beneficial. 

Rebecca’s knowledge of attachment theory and brain development helps her to facilitate person-centred formulations and interventions. She is adept at Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Systemic, and Compassion Focused Therapy, which she integrates into her therapeutic approach. Rebecca is focused on developing inclusive, safe and supportive environments, and guiding effective outcomes in individual, direct and indirect therapy.

Rebecca is described by her peers as an incredibly warm and caring individual, with clinical expertise and experience in helping children, individuals and families overcome difficult or challenging times.  Rebecca is described by colleagues as extremely professional and respectful, she comes highly recommended by her colleagues for her compassionate approach to treating her clients.

Rebecca has worked in the NHS and privately with children, families and adults for the last 15 years. She trained at UCL and worked at the Social Communication Disorders Clinic at Great Ormond Street Hospital before moving to community practice. She is a guest lecturer on the UCL Child Mental Health and Adult Mental Health MSc courses.

Our team share an enthusiasm for understanding and supporting neurodiverse individuals by focusing on strengths and areas of interest to support them in reaching their potential. We have a range of specialist knowledge and experience having worked across London boroughs providing support to neurodiverse children, young people and adults, and are neurodiversity assessment experts. 

All of our clinicians are registered with The Health and Care Professions Council.

Dr Carolyn Gracey

Senior Clinical Psychologist

Carolyn is an incredibly thoughtful clinician who takes a holistic approach to assessments.  She is focused on ensuring that the families that she is involved with get the best experience during the assessment and therapeutic process. 

Carolyn is described as person centred, warm and approachable. She is described by her peers as an extremely hard-working and reliable professional, who always demonstrates excellent clinical skills. She is committed to building trusting relationships with individuals and families. She is compassionate and sensitive and takes a client centred approach to all of her assessments and work. Carolyn believes in connecting children, young people and adults with their strengths and is always struck by the often thoughtful and sensitive parenting approach that is held alongside the challenges that the parenting experience understandably brings.   

Carolyn’s interest in Autism began whilst working with autistic children and their families in different settings in Canada during her undergraduate studies. Her curiosity and interest in understanding the perspective and experiences of autistic people has continued ever since and continues to guide her career. Carolyn shares the drive to see value in difference and learn from the Autistic and Neurodivergent community. It is important to her to provide a space to any adult, child or family who hopes to understand themselves or experiences and move further towards the things they value or want in life.    

Carolyn qualified in Clinical Psychology in 2011 and has a MSc in Developmental Neuropsychology. She draws upon a range of therapeutic approaches and has been involved in assessment and psychological support (e.g. post diagnosis, individual/group/family input) in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services with autistic young people, primarily with learning or intellectual disabilities, since qualifying.

Christine Fleming

Highly Specialist Clinical Speech & Language Therapist

Christine is passionate about providing an exceptional standard of care, using evidence-based practice, and continually developing her clinical skills to offer her clients the highest standard of treatment. She takes a client-centred approach to her work. She is keen to help children and young people to understand their own areas of strength and need. She is analytical and reflective in her practice as a speech and language therapist. Christine is described as excellent at building a rapport with children, young people and adults. She takes time to understand the family and how best to help the young person meet their potential. She works hard to contribute to innovation within the service, and consistently receives positive feedback and builds strong relationships with clients, their families and her colleagues.

Christine qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2012 from City University. Christine has worked for 10 years in London supporting autistic children and young people in special and mainstream schools. Christine is trained in using Alternative and Augmentative Communication systems, is SCERTS trained and is committed to delivering strength-based autism interventions. Christine is a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health Care Professions Council.

Kerry Mogolofsky

Practice Manager 

Neurodiversity Unravelled depends on the passion and commitment from Kerry! Kerry is kind and empathetic in her approach, taking the time to understand what people need.  She is skilled at communicating clearly and honestly when liaising with clients, their families, support networks and associated services with the aim of achieving the best possible outcome. She is described as motivated, hardworking and dedicated in her approach. She strives to improve the client experience and create solutions for the team.

Kerry has worked in the National Health Service for over 18 years covering many roles from buying to admin, then growing her knowledge within lead administrator and working her way up to outcomes & performance lead. Kerry has utilised her excellent organisational skills and years of knowledge in leading a team within the National Health Service. Kerry has a keen eye for detail, multi-tasking and strong organisational skills which will ensure a great oversight for us all here at Neurodiversity Unravelled.

Blaire Barrett

Team Administrator

Blaire is our happy and enthusiastic Team Administrator. She possesses a wealth of experience working in the medical administration field within and outside of the National Health Service. You may encounter her warm and friendly telephone manner on contacting us.  

She has a passion for helping people. Having spent many years assisting those with physical and cognitive impairments, Blaire developed the qualities of kindness, empathy, and patience.  

In addition, qualifying as a Spanish Community Interpreter and Dental Nurse, has allowed her to gain experience helping users navigate different aspects of the healthcare system to try and fulfil their needs.    

As our frontline member of staff Blaire brings the above to Neurodiversity Unravelled and hopes to make your contact with the organisation a calm and positive experience.

Dr Esther Adelman

Senior Educational Psychologist

Esther is an experienced, capable clinician who takes pride in understanding the person and their current situation. She is described as having excellent observation skills. Esther is committed to providing a solution-focused approach to enable children and young people.  Esther is described as a compassionate professional with a genuine style of communication, building client relationships and ensuring a truly person-centred approach. Esther is interested in helping parents to understand their children's needs and enabling them to get the right support at school.

Esther gained her doctorate at University College of London in 2010. Esther has since worked in an Educational Psychology Service as an Autism and Neurodevelopmental Conditions Specialist in East London. Esther is Early Bird and SCERTS trained as well as ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and 3Di trained. 

Dr Farjana Nasrin

Senior Clinical Psychologist 

Farjana is a highly competent and thoughtful practitioner. She has excellent communication skills and is diligent in her work. Farjana is described as a thoughtful clinician who takes pride in understanding family dynamics and relational factors when considering an individual's presentation and needs.  She is described by her peers as a conscientious clinical psychologist and is known as a compassionate clinician with a gentle manner who likes to build warm relationships with clients and staff alike. 

Farjana is a Clinical Psychologist who has been working in mental health services for over 13 years. For the last 9 years she has been working with children and adolescents presenting with a range of mental health difficulties. This includes working clinically with young people with ASC, learning disabilities and ADHD. Clinically, Farjana draws upon a range of therapeutic approaches, to facilitate individuals to work towards their identified goals and help them to achieve meaningful change.

Dr Megan Hollett

Senior Clinical Psychologist 

Megan is a warm, approachable, and sensitive clinician. Megan's strengths lie in her ability to connect and build trusting relationships with children, young people and families. Megan understands that seeking psychological support can sometimes feel daunting, and she is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive and non-judgmental space to support individuals and families to overcome difficult and challenging times.  Megan has extensive experience working in CAMHS services, offering both direct therapeutic work to children and/or parents, as well as consultation and teaching to child health, education and social care professionals. Megan has always been passionate about supporting individuals with neurodiverse needs and much of her practice across different settings has focused on increasing understanding of neurodiversity, encouraging appreciation of the unique challenges that neurodivergent people face, and celebrating difference. Megan also has a strong interest in working in trauma-informed ways, including supporting looked-after and adopted children and their families.  Megan takes a holistic approach to wellbeing, and as a Clinical Psychologist draws on various therapeutic modalities (including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, and attachment-based interventions) depending on each person's need. As well as her clinical and therapeutic expertise, Megan has a keen interest in research, and has published several papers on topics relating to Autism and parenting. Megan is also a yoga teacher with an interest in mindfulness and mind-body connection, which influences her practice. Values such as compassion, integrity, inclusion, and community are at the heart of Megan's work as a psychologist. 

Dr Frankie Glover-Ford

Clinical Psychologist 

Frankie has always had an interest in supporting young people with mental health difficulties and/or additional needs. As part of a family affected by poor mental health, Frankie has a strong understanding of the ripple effect physical and mental health problems have for families of those affected by such difficulties. She is passionate about considering the needs of the whole family and helping their stories to be heard. 

Frankie is highly organised and conscientious and places particular emphasis on building strong and trusting relationships with the families she works with. She is described by her colleagues as warm, caring and reliable and has been praised for her ability to consider and work collaboratively with the whole system surrounding an individual. The main therapeutic approaches Frankie uses are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Systemic.   

Frankie trained at Oxford University and has worked in the mental health field for 10 years, primarily in children’s mental health and paediatric services within the NHS. She has specific expertise in assessment of anxiety and depression in young people and has worked with a large number of neurodiverse individuals, supporting them both before and after diagnosis and helping them to identify and achieve their goals.

Emma Day

Senior Speech & Language Therapist 

Emma is an experienced, capable clinician who is described as passionate about embracing neurodiversity and thinking about the families holistically. Emma has worked with individuals across the age range and is committed to provide a service to empower people to recognise their differences and put supports in place. Emma has a strong drive to learn about the current evidence base of interventions and approaches and ensure that this is embedded into everyday functional contexts. 

Emma gained her Msc in Speech and Language Therapy in 2014 and has since worked in a range of mainstream schools, special schools, resourced provisions and as an Autism and Neurodevelopmental Conditions Specialist in East London. 

Emma is currently involved in innovating a service in East London for children under 5 who have social communication differences. Emma is Early Bird plus and SCERTS trained as well as ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and 3Di trained. Emma is additionally trained in using Alternative and Augmentative Communication systems as well as symbolic assessments (COMFOR-2). She has delivered trainings for a range of professionals across different services  (police, hospitals, football clubs) regarding neurodiversity. 

Jane Kennedy

Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

Jane is a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who specialises in working with neuro-diverse children and young people and their families.  She is thoughtful and has an excellent understanding of evidence-based practice to support her clinical work. She is described by peers as warm and considerate and has skills in her ability to engage with young people and their families. Jane takes a strengths-based approach and adapts therapy purposefully to the needs and challenges of each young person and their family.

Jane became a therapist later in life.  After qualifying, she gained experience working in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) in the NHS. Jane has a psychology undergraduate degree from the University of Leicester, a Masters in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from UCL and a Post-graduate diploma in IAPT Psychological Therapies for Children and Young Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Learning Disability. She also currently works at UCL as a clinical lecturer on the MSc Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

Amy Dunk

Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist 

Amy has a broad range of experience in supporting autistic children, young people and their families. She strives to champion neurodiversity in her work, recognising each child and young person’s potential in order to encourage and nurture these qualities. This includes advocating for inclusion, employing a strength-based approach and ensuring that interventions are ethical and set in collaboration with families.  

Since receiving her Speech and Language Therapy degree in 2014, Amy has carried out extensive work in clinic, mainstream and special school settings and has received training in a range of autism specific approaches including SCERTS, NAS’s Teen Life programme and implementing high and low tech AAC systems. She is trained and experienced in administering the ADOS-2 autism assessment and the ADI-R autism diagnostic interview. As a senior therapist in the NHS and in independent practise, she supports families to embrace autism and helps individuals to better understand their diagnosis. Amy builds positive and trusting relationships with families and is described by colleagues as generous with her knowledge and ideas, supportive, kind and empathetic.  

Dr Olivia Kneen

Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist

Dr Olivia Kneen has been working in mental health services for the past 20 years and in Child and Adolescent mental health services for the past 15 years. She is a thoughtful, compassionate clinician and prides herself on developing trusting relationships with clients and their families. Olivia has worked extensively within CAMHS Services in the NHS for many years, including as a Clinical Team Lead and specifically with children and young people with neurodiversity.

Olivia studied her undergraduate at Nottingham University and then went onto train as a Clinical Psychologist at UCL, qualifying in 2012. She is trained to assess for both ASD and ADHD and she works in a range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, systemic work, CFT and EMDR. She has a specialist interest in working with young people who have experienced adversity and trauma and supporting them to use their strengths and resources as an individual and as a family to survive and thrive. 

Dr Halima Chowdhury

Senior Counselling Psychologist

Dr Halima Chowdhury has been working within the NHS for the last 10 years working with neurodiverse children and their families. She has delivered groups in collaboration with the National Autistic Society to schools, parents and stakeholders on topics relating to neurodiversity.  Halima completed her professional doctorate in counselling psychology at UEL. She currently works within an adult mental health service and  is trained in conducting ASD and ADHD assessments and utilises a variety of therapeutic approaches in her work. As a clinician with the NHS she aims to provide a compassionate and person centered approach in her work. She puts a large emphasis on ensuring she builds good therapeutic rapport with her clients. 

Louis Juston

Assistant Psychologist

Louis is a recent master’s graduate from UCL in psychological sciences. He aspires to become a clinical psychologist that specialises in helping young adults as he believes that people in this age group could benefit from a more tailored approach.  Louis became interested in neurodiversity during his Bachelor’s in neuroscience at King’s where much importance was given to the physiological and neural mechanisms behind certain conditions.

It was during these studies that he learnt that although certain conditions might present distinct characteristics, they sometimes share similarities in terms of which brain areas are involved; possibly suggesting a certain level of commonality between different neurodiverse conditions. This knowledge has fuelled Louis’ desire to help further develop what is understood neurodevelopmental conditions and, to help establish a more comprehensive framework when it comes neurodiversity.

Andreia Martins

Sensory Processing Therapist

Andreia is an experienced Occupational Therapist with extensive training in sensory processing and neurodiversity. Passionate about learning with the neurodivergent community, Andreia is committed to supporting individuals and families to thrive in their meaningful activities—whether in education, work, leisure, or self-care—by assessing their strengths and differences. Drawing on a diverse skillset, Andreia integrates strategies from sensory integration, neurodiversity-affirming practices, yoga and mindfulness, and executive function training. At Neurodiversity Unravelled, Andreia works collaboratively with neurodivergent adults to better understand how their sensory preferences influence daily life. Together, they establish a collaborative process to design strategies that foster self-awareness and enhance participation in meaningful activities.

Laura Gowers

Dyslexia Therapist

Laura is a highly experienced dyslexia assessor and specialist teacher with over 23 years of expertise in state and independent schools across the UK. She has held a variety of leadership roles, including head of faculty, special educational needs coordinator (SENCo). Throughout her career, Laura has worked with children and adults, helping them to understand their unique strengths and overcome challenges to achieve their potential. Laura is passionate about empowering individuals who find learning difficult. She has supported hundreds of students and adults, offering tailored strategies to build confidence, improve outcomes, and develop a deeper understanding of dyslexia. Her compassionate approach ensures a truly person-centred experience, helping clients thrive in education, work, and life. With her extensive experience, Laura works closely with parents to understand their children’s needs, providing insights and practical guidance to secure the right support in school. Her dedication to helping individuals identify and embrace their unique abilities is at the heart of her practice. In addition to her work in schools, Laura is trained in a range of assessment tools and interventions, ensuring she delivers high-quality, evidence-based support. Whether working with children or adults, Laura is committed to making a difference, enabling neurodivergent individuals to flourish.
