Therapy for children and families
We offer a range of therapeutic input to support young people and families with autism, ADHD and other co-occurring conditions such as anxiety and low mood.
Our aim is to empower the individual to harness their strengths and support them to develop a toolkit of strategies to enhance their resilience, self-esteem and wellbeing.
We believe that therapy is a collaborative process. While we have expertise in autism and ADHD, individuals and families are the experts on their own experiences.
We are very happy to discuss what intervention may be best suited to your particular needs – please contact us for a free consultation.
Psychological Input
At Neurodiversity Unravelled we work to reduce distress and promote psychological wellbeing for neurodivergent children, young people and adults. This may involve working one-to-one with the individual, with parents or with families.
Often people will seek psychological support for concerns regarding emotional, behavioural or social difficulties including anxiety, depression and low self confidence. We also work with individuals and families hoping to build on existing strengths and knowledge in order to create change.
We offer psychological interventions using acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and systemic therapy. Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually commissioned in blocks of 6 sessions. We work face-to-face or remotely.
Therapy sessions are £130/50 minute session. Please note we have a limited number of low-cost therapy slots available.
Speech & Language Therapy
At Neurodiversity Unravelled we specialise in the provision of speech and language therapy and support for emotional literacy for children up to the age of 18. We work closely with families to make a full assessment and plan an appropriate intervention programme based on the child’s needs. Our service is provided in the form of assessments, reviews and regular or intensive therapy input.
Emotional literacy aims to support the young person or adult to develop the language to describe emotional states and understand them.
Emotional regulation aims to support individuals in managing unwanted or unhelpful emotional experiences.
Video Feedback aims to enhance parent-child communication in autism and the social and language development of the child. The approach aims to help parents adapt their communication style to their child’s impairments and respond to their child with enhanced sensitivity and responsiveness.
Therapy sessions are £130/50 minute session. Please note we do have a limited number of low-cost therapy slots available.
